Bleeding Control Course
Our bleeding control course is a life-saving training program designed to teach individuals how to recognise and respond to severe bleeding emergencies. This course provides essential skills that can help save lives before emergency responders arrive.
Training Approach
We utilise high-fidelity bleeding control and haemorrhage simulation models to deliver realistic, scenario-based training. These models simulate severe external bleeding that will not stop until appropriate interventions are correctly applied, reinforcing the principle that bleeding must be actively controlled.
The key training objectives are to ensure participants can:
Rapidly identify life-threatening bleeding
Apply direct pressure effectively
Pack wounds correctly when indicated
Apply tourniquets properly and efficiently
Reassess and confirm haemorrhage control
The continuous simulated blood flow provides immediate feedback, emphasising the urgency of prompt and effective intervention.
Instructors demonstrate correct techniques prior to supervised practice. To maintain high standards:
Instructors wear tourniquet application training devices
Devices allow rapid, repeated application practice
Correct placement, tightening, and securing are modelled
Emphasis is placed on speed, positioning, and effectiveness
This structured approach builds muscle memory and ensures tourniquets are applied quickly and effectively in real-world scenarios.
Who Should Take This Course?
This training is beneficial for everyone, including teachers, students, workplace employees, first responders, and the general public. No prior medical experience is needed.
Why It’s Important:
Uncontrolled bleeding is a leading cause of preventable death in emergencies such as accidents, shootings, and natural disasters. Learning how to stop bleeding quickly can mean the difference between life and death.
Upon completion, participants gain confidence in handling bleeding emergencies and will receive internationally recognised certification.
